Reflections:  Great fun listening to all this old music again and sort of remembering what I was doing back then. Also, to see where some of these more obscure bands helped along the long and winding road of rock. Keep up the good work and see if you can work in one of my very favorite 60's bands -Fever Tree. One of my first albums given to me from my cousin Ron from L.A. who got me listening to what was happening on the West Coast as I'm on the third coast. Best wishes!!!

Reflections:  the format here differs markedly from BTBG and LSUG, seeming to lean toward a somewhat more sophisticated melodic variety of psych composition - less of a "garage-punk" affair, if you will. This formula is a perfect complement to those other psych streams....an essential source for discovering top-notch 60's fare. Superb!

Reflections:  Ecstasy in Infinite Dimensions Landscapes of Sensuous Delirium There have been moments when Ive gone To visit worlds and realms sublime And travelled with a lightning speed To places where there is no time. For I have seen such wondrous things And heard the music of the spheres And freely flown to realms unknown Unhindered by constraint of years I have heard the pastoral sounds Of Pans sweet pipes in crimson rain And watched the breath of Zephyrus blow Across the fluid fields of grain. Ive wandered through the forest glades And talked to elves and creatures rare. Ive caught an angel by her wings And weaved a daydream from her hair. Ive lain upon the glorious jewel Of Paradises ample breast And known the universal joy Of Edens calm and gentle rest. Ive seen Atlantis rise again And watched her marvellous ascent Ive viewed the glories that are hers And many a joyful hour spent. Ive wandered in an ecstasy And seen great Babylons sights most rare Where endless fountains play their tunes Midst gardens towering in the air. Ive watched the building of the Sphinx Seen Pharaoh on his gilded seat And eaten at his royal feast With willing virgins at my feet. Ive sailed aboard a Viking ship Away from Greenlands icy shores And rode with Robin of the Hood On Englands green and rolling moors. The world was bathed in heavenly glow And wondrous visions filled my day So often Id be moved with joy And skip along each crystal ray. So come along my gentle friend Our quest has only just begun Well fly upon the golden breeze And dance like madmen on the sun. There still are wonders yet unknown And sights and colours yet unseen! So come with me my gentle friend And we can go where few have been. Van Costen 02/04/2008
